E-commerce SpecialistThis is a both a project management and hands-on role for an IT generalist with a business mind. The position requires a strong ability to understand the needs of users and to effectively leverage their own technical abilities as well as those of internal and external resources to achieve goals. Candidates should be IT professionals with the ability to learn new skills quickly, as well the flexibility to take on new roles and projects outside of their job description.

ESP Priority Opening
Oracle Data Warehouse DBA
· Database Administration: Monitor and maintain an alert system for all core database and host system logs, as well as perform a daily review of overall system health; create, maintain, and document backup and recovery strategies for all databases.
· Programming Support: Assist with the creation of custom SQL or PL/SQL code and supporting structures to solve critical business issues or long-term solutions to newly discovered opportunities; advise developers with best-practice designs for new and existing database objects. Offer alternatives when best-practice is not feasible.
· Performance Tuning: Proactively resolve performance bottlenecks; work with data architects, report developers, and business intelligence analysts to tune application generated code; document performance issues and methods used for improvements.
· Business Intelligence: Work with the BI vendor and internal developers to exploit the warehousing technologies provided within Oracle 10g.
· Documentation: Suggest and/or build technologies for documentation and change management of the logical and physical database environment: system architecture, business metadata, external dependencies, object and data lineage.
· Second-Level Support: Support of various Oracle and SQL Server transactional databases; support of custom applications and direct database links to heterogeneous systems.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years experience with Data Warehouse environments in the Packaged Goods, Manufacturing, or Retail industries.
· Demonstrated experience with configuring, installing, troubleshooting, recovering, and tuning Oracle databases on Windows.
· Demonstrated experience with creating and tuning advanced SQL and PL/SQL code.
· Demonstrated experience with OEM, RMAN, Imp/Exp, SQL*Loader, SQL*Plus
· Excellent knowledge of Data Warehouse methods and technologies.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent time/project management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask.
· Experience with Windows/UNIX/Linux batch scripting and job scheduling is preferred.
· Experience with ETL tools such as Business Objects Data Integrator is preferred.
· Experience with reporting tools such as Business Objects XI a plus.
· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server a plus.
· Experience with Progress a plus.
Relationships
· Department Structure: Database Administrator, reports to the Data Warehouse Manager.
· Internal Relations: Expected to partner with all IT staff within the four functional areas: Business Intelligence, ERP Support, Infrastructure, and Retail
External Relations: Database vendors, BI vendors, ETL vendor
