     Bridal Product Manager

     

     

    Overview:  Coordinate all US operations for products lines; develops action plans and promote sales.

     

    Responsibilities:

    ·         Support strategy for bridal and new jewelry product lines.

    ·         Monitor stock according to sales, sales forecasts and financial objectives.

    ·         Support the Retail Division by providing information and efficient tools to assist in reaching objectives.

    ·         Produce monthly reports and analyze strengths and weaknesses of bridal lines. 

    ·         Recommend and implement actions related to promotions, pricing, incentives, display, etc…

    ·         Organize new product launches on an on-going basis, i.e. strategy and timing, launch quantities and regional dispatch. 

    ·         Coordinate with internal departments such as Visual, Advertising, Communications and Public Relations to assist in meeting the brand’s objectives for bridal and new jewelry.

    ·         Track competition in regards to jewelry products, pricing and client service and compare findings to the brand.

    ·         Adapt the International product news for the US sales force.

    ·         Work closely with merchandising department on stock and assortment.

    ·         Other projects as required.

     

    Requirements:

    ·         Previous experience in jewelry or high-end luxury.

    ·         Strong understanding of Customer Service needs.

    ·         Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.

    ·         Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    ·         Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills.

    ·         Fluency in French is preferred.

    Major Luxury Fashion Designer in Manhattan needs  

    Director of Design

    Responsible for the Strategic Organization and Management of the Design Process from early concept planning through design turnover.  


    Manages the non-creative aspects of design development to ensure timely and accurate design turnover for all design categories.

     

    Objectives

    • Manages process and resources development of all design exploration for women’s jewelry, couture, bridal and timepieces.

     

    • Attends bi-weekly model meetings as representative of design department to receive and offer updates on product development status.

     

    • Develops structure and processes to maximize efficiencies and accuracy of design process.

     

    • Manages and prioritizes flow of new design into jewelers shop for all women’s jewelry, couture and men’s.

     

    • Manages flow of new bridal design into product development.

     

    • Manages flow of new timepiece design to timepiece brand manager.

     

    • Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of all design department reports including calendar, line sheets, design boards, design status, job bags, archives and current illustrations.

     

    • Manages team of design assistants and illustrators, allocating projects and monitoring timely results.

     

    • Works with stone, engineering and purchasing departments to best source stones, components and materials and alternative production techniques. 

     

    • Works with member of product engineering to ensure timely assessment of retail estimates for review early in the design process.

     

    • Ensures all design turnovers are reviewed and have documented approvals of the President and the vice-president of design.

     

    • Responsible for timely communication of significant design additions/cancellations or modifications to affected departments.

     

    • Conducts daily status meetings with all members of design team to direct process and update design status.

     

    • Approves and manages all department expenditures as directed by vice president of design.
